Re: Ultra Analog @ audiomidi.com for $15
Something has to be wrong then. From the time I purchased it to the time I had it installed and authorized was no more than 5 minutes. Agreed. I received two serials and no dl link. I called audiomidi.com, and spoke to Jace, who was extremely cool an helpful. For some reason, the dl link email was ...

I would like to see dedicated sampler keyboard aimed at the dance/electronica market, with a nod toward DAW'ists.

Re: Obama wins Nobel Peace Prize
I think a number of different issues are becoming convoluted in this thread, and my previous "off the cuff" posts surely didn't help the matter much. Basically, the issues that a) whether Obama's actions warranted the Noble Peace prize; b) the view that presidents, including Obama, are mer...

Re: New Mac OSX Daw - Harrison Mixbuss
I got the Mixbus, and think it sounds great. The only plugs I have to compare it, though, are PSP squad EQ's, Vintage Warmer 2, and Sonsalksis SV 517 eq and compressor.
For $80, I think it's a great addition to a virtual studio, even though I don't use the Ardour side of things.

Re: OT: The death penalty for cracked software - too harsh?
The second problem is at the core of many peoples frustration with the pricing structure of programs like Live. At a certain point, sales from most software have fully compensated the manufacturer for the resources and time spent in developing the product. After this point, the software continues t...

Intellectual property laws are based upon traditional property laws (Lockean) which developed around tangible physical property (personal or real, i.e. land). Property protected by intellectual property differs from property protected by traditional property laws in terms of scarcity. Traditional pr...

This is the Twin 2 demo from their site: http://www.fabfilter.com/products/fftwin2-demo-jesse.mp3 It does nothing for me. That is putting it politely. I would really suggest that you actually download the demo and check it out. One thing I don't think people realize is how incredibly flexible the m...

is anything wrong with live's eq plug-in? is it not doing what you want? in theory, if a plug in says it's only function is to boost whatever frequencies this much, then why wouldn't they sound the same? if you're looking for something a bit more creative, on the other hand, just to get some new co...

What's the deal with EQ plugins?
Admittedly, I'm not knowledgeable about EQ plug-ins, having relied on Live's EQ in it's various incarnations throughout the years. However, I saw that PSP released the sQuad of EQ's (4 different EQ's) and decided to give them a shot and download the demos. Dialing in exactly the same settings result...
