OK,

I'll look into this. I haven't looked into the functionality of macros yet. Is this task simple enough to achieve?

Is it possible to assign a controller to turn a VST on/off?

Normally I don't require this but for one VST, this would be really useful, and that is Glitch. I am also basing this question on using this VST in a live situation. Currently Glitch scrolls through a pattern whenever it is on, but if that pattern is over 4 bars, and the tune I am playing adds an ex...

This is impossible - Can dummy clips control the cross fader

When you create a dummy clip you have control over the parameters in that track (volumes, sends etc) and any VST parameters also in that track. The crossfader is under the master track, which you can't put a dummy clip in, so as far as I'm aware, there's no way of creating a clip to control it. Am I...

Following on from what scientist was saying, is there a way of mapping a key to act as an "audio clip selector". As far as I'm aware, if I'm messing around with some parameters on a VST for example, and I then want to have a look at an audio clip's wave form, currently I have to use my mou...

Actually that is the same as I've just done, I just thought it was different due to the images!

I'll move on to the macros tonight then and see how I get on.

Thanks,

I'd already looked at that this morning. Very interesting but a bit more advanced than one I had intended to do. I'll move on to that once I've sorted out the more simplified one I am working on.

EQ8 low and high pass filter creation?

In Ableton 5, a preset was created (by the Phat Conductor I think) for EQ4 where by points 2 and 3 were kept stationary (low and high respectively) and points 1 and 4 were default at about 860Hz, but could be adjusted. Point 1 could move down I believe acting like a low pass filter and point 4 could...

Hi, I don't think this is the case, as I believe this problem doesn't always occur. For example, most of the time this occurs. The audio file I am playing has got to the beginning of its 25th bar and I set the loop start point there. I know this because this is where the moving vertical line marker ...

Following shows incorrect part of sound file when looped

If I load up an audio file, and play it, a vertical line moves along the audio file and shows where abouts in the file it is. However, as soon as I start to adjust loop set points, and turn looping on and off etc, the position of the vertical line in the sound file becomes confused, and does not cor...

Midi VST Triggers On Novation Remote - Down = On, Up = Off?

Hi, At present I have midi triggers set up on my Remote, but they involve pressing a key once to for instance turn a VST effect on, and pressing the same key again to turn it off. Instead of pressing a key twice in this way, can I press a key down to turn a VST effect on, and releasing it, turns it ...

OK, that all makes sense. I will give it a go.

I was hoping ideally for a way in which I could edit individual loop parameters from multiple audio tracks. Not a major problem though!

Assigning midi keys to loop functions on multiple tracks?

Hi, Is it possible to assign different midi keys to loop functions on different audio tracks? If so I can't work out how to do this. Currently if I have an audio file loaded up on "Audio Track 1", and I assign midi keys to operate "loop on/off", "loop beginning" and &qu...

The biggest difference I have noticed from playing both wavs and vinyl through the same sound source, is that vinyl sounds warmer with more bass, while the wavs do not pronounce the bottom end as much and sound sharper and more metallic. Is this a problem with my setup do you think, or just the gene...
