OSX optimazations???

Does anybody know of any tips or any online tutorials for making OSX run better with audio applications such as Live? I have seen tutorials on the net for WinXP and what not but I was wondering if some of the same things could be done with OSX to get it to run more efficiently.

Yep this is another one of those simple features that for some reason or another the Abe's decided not to implement it with the new version of Live. Come on guys is it really that hard to add a pause button that can be midi assigned?????

I am not sure if it is an option for you or not but you might consider looking at Torq the new software by M-Audio and then switching to that instead of Serato. While Serato is a great program unless you have a Xone 3D you aren't going to really have the ability to use the two programs together as e...

He brings his own DJM 800 with him on gigs. He uses the 800's midi control to operate Ableton Live. I am not sure how or even if he does (the guy really is a human metronome) sync live and the CDJ's together. That's probably a question to ask him personally. It would actually be pretty simple to ass...

Shane this is one of the coolest things I have ever heard. It's a set like this that really shows the power of Live. There is absolutely no way a set like that could be accomplished with any other format other than software. Way COOL!

Also, does it work with Intel Mac's? I can't find anything on Tascam's website that says whether or not it is a Universal Binary or not.

Any TASCAM US-2400 Live users out there?

I am really interested in getting a Tascam US-2400 controller. I just wanted to hear from everyone first as to how well it works with live. Any body have any comments?

a pain? is DJing with Technics or CDJs a pain? Depends on the song and how it is produced. I can think of hundreds of records that I have at home where different parts of the song were purposely produced at different bpms. Besides having turntables and CD players with pitch bend buttons allows to k...

That works too but can be a pain. Reguardless it wouldn't be so much of an issue if live would just add a GLOBAL NUDGE or PITCH BEND FEATURE ALREADY!!!!!!!!!!!!

XONE 3D is the only option right now. The Midi Clock signal on the Xone 3D can be tempo synced to Final Scratch's BPM. That and it has a pitch bend to correct the midi clock in case Final Scratch's (or Vinyl or CD) tempo drifts.

I put a request for this in the feature request section before. True, you can do this in live already but it's kind of a pain with all the routing, delay, and latency settings. It would be alot more beneficial if live had an external effects plug in that handled send and return loops better. That wa...

Global Nudge Feature Please!!!!!!!!

I refuse to give up on this one. I notice that in live 6 it seems that you will have the ability to warp more than one clip at a time. Is there anyway you can nudge more than one at the same time too? Hmmmm???? A global nudge would be nice!!!!
