I just tried using the nudge feature last night to DJ with. It's great when you are using live now to beatmatch and mix into a track that is being played off of vinyl or cd. It kind of works the way a pitch bend button works on a cd player if you set the quantize to 1/32 or none. After I mix in my f...

There should have been software included with your Evolution controller that allows you to change the range of the numbers on your slide faders. It's just a matter of programming your controller to your personal settings instead of the default. Go to M-Audio's website if you don't have your install ...

Think the Xone 3D is out of my league plus I just bought a Xone 92. The UC 33e looks like the best option at the moment. If only faderfox delivered outside europe! I have a Terratec Phase 26 soundcard with multiple outputs. How do you configure your M-Audio soundcard and also Ableton Live to route ...

Depends on what you are wanting to do and what your price range is. I personally use a UC-33e Evolution series midi controller along with an M- Audio Audiophile Firewire Sound card. I use the sound card to route two different line channels of sound which I mix with whatever mixer the club provides. ...

I just found a place over on cnet.com that has it for only $1960. That seems like a good enough deal to not pass up.

Hmmm... looks like this decision is going to be harder than I thought. I hate xp myself compared to tiger but I am all about speed and performance. What's a Mactell? I think you are referring to a next generation mac, maybe?

POWERBOOK G4 1.67 15.2 inch ??????

I am fairly new to Ableton and thinking of buying a powerbook to use for DJing and some production work. Right now with my student discount I can get a powerbook g4 1.67, 15.2 inch screen 512 ram, 80 gig hardrive with superdrive for $2100. My school ofcouse is totally mac biased and is saying that i...

TRASH THE SPACEBAR CONTROL

Maybe it's just me but I hate the fact that if you press the space bar it stops the music and when you press it again to restart the music it always starts over from the beginning. If they could just let you change this feature or be able to disable it, would be great. Ofcourse maybe I just don't kn...

PITCH BEND CONTROLS and PLAY MARKERS ON CLIPS

Kind of like the buttons seen on most CD players with a ' + ' for pitch bend up and a ' - ' for pitch bend down. It would really help with DJing. Play Markers would also be great, especially if you could toggle through them the way you do with track marks on a cd. It would be alot easier then taking...

I agree that was just a little something missing. I really liked the opening sequence. The synths are well mixed and very catchy but I just couldn't get into it once the drum sequence started. I am no producer though yet ofcourse. Just a DJ

Operator tutorials???

I have been playing around with Operator and I have no idea what I am doing. The tutorials with Live are helpful but i really want to get a better understanding of what I am doing. I am pretty much a novice at producing and don't have much music experience except for DJing. Any one here have any adv...
