In your audio preferences section check to see if you have the option to select ASIO drivers instead of Direct X/MME. Then make sure you have your input selected to your sound card and configure your inputs.

Are you trying to record your instruments in Live or just use them as Midi controllers? If you are trying to record them, then you also need to set up one of Live's channels to receive audio input from whichever input is setup on your fast track pro and then turn that channels monitoring to on.

M-Audio FAST TRACK PRO!!! If you are looking for a sound card with atleast 2 stereo outputs then you absolutely cannot beat this interface. It's simplicity and reliability is what makes it the best in my opinion. I used to have a Firewire Audiophile but now I only use the Fast Track Pro.

I'll check it out in the manual and on the m-audio site :) It's not really hard to setup it's just that you really need to understand how it works so you can troubleshoot because I guarantee you will have problems. Ableton does a decent job of syncing but you're still bound to have problems...

If this whole competition is Felix's perogative that DJ's can't use ableton to win his competition then that's fine. However, I sure as hell don't need his or anyone elses approval on how I rock a crowd.

The only thing you can do is get a Xone 3d or the new Xone 2d coming out and just use their midi generator and run Live as a slave. I think you are going to be better off just using live 7 when it comes out instead though.

Thanks guys, I appreciate the help. I have heard that there is also a way to delete your preferences folder to reset Live and get it to work better. I know how to do this in Windows but not in OSX. Anyone know?
