Yep, this is a good tip When i was first fiddling with this i was thinking somehow i needed to have the name of the menu in there as well, but of course you only need the item name. Make sure you have it exactly the same too or it wont work. I have set this up to open the three folders : Folder 1 - ...

i find it depends on what the material is whether or not you can hear it

i have tested it on both windows and OSX using different controllers

its there alright

the glitching happens right around the centre point of the cross-fader

pitchbend has more bits (14) than midi (8)

more steps between 0 and full, so the increments are smaller

I will try again today using the pitch bend wheel, and see if the glitching happens there too.

Pitch bend information has more steps than midi, so it might be smoother

just did a search and this thread came up I am getting glitching when crossfading too my setup Ti800 RME Multiface UC33 I tried different knobs on the UC33. I think it is a midi stepping issue, kinda like what reaktor can be like without a smoother module. Any way that the crossfader can be setup to...

i think the audio editing in live is unparalled. As someone said above, the warping can degrade things, but if you listen out for it and apply your warp markers carefully you can often overcome a lot of this. A combination of the two will definitely be a good thing, though I use Logic and Live on th...

Yeah, what PitchBlack is describing is correct. Hopefully Ableton at some point will incorporate an envelope smoothing option so these glitches will be a thing of the past.

When you are trying to edit a whole bund of varying envelopes and evenlope smoother will be a real time saver.

Hi MarkEG Have you spent any time looking at the manual that comes with Live? Its a PDF so if you installed Live you will have it on your computer. What you talking about is one of the most fundamental aspects of Live that is explained in great depth in the manual. I am not trying to avoid answering...

in the arrange window, make sure you have 'sends' ticked under the view menu. you should be able to see the sends track down the bottom above the master track

Continuous clock when closing/opening songs

I would love it, if, in Live, when you close a running song to open a new one that no midi clock stop message be sent. This way i can keep my drum machines going while i open up a new song and then when i am ready i can hit play and instantly sync the playing machines with my new song. As it is at t...
