No, you don't need to. But lets say that something goes wonky with the file system. I don't know, say a usb cable fell out during a write operation, blah blah blah, NTFS would have a better chance at repairing the data. I can safely say that any file system related problems I used to have from using...

I'd recommend NTFS for all uses. It has been proven to fragment less and perform more efficiently. You also get the added benefit of selective folder compression and security. I'll try and dig up the references to the claim, but it IS a superior file system to FAT32 and initial claims of it being sl...

That tip page is superb! It got me through my rough patch when my 307 was back in Malaysia in a box that never got sent over here :( Anyway, it's back in my hands now once again:D I can't recommend an MC-307 enough. If you can, try to track one down second hand. While the slider does feel kinda chea...

Are you on a pc? This is entirely doable with Bome's Midi Translator. I'm sure there is a macintosh alternative, but I'm not familiar with them. Do a search  Where's your loop on/loop off button gonna be? hehe Look into Bome's Midi Translator and do a search. Seriously, you can't go wrong. Heap...

However, it seems to me that it is sadly behind.......and sony owning it probably makes that even worse. While it's quite easy to speculate this, it's also just as easy to speculate that if it were not for sony, the roadmap for the acid line would not have been revamped to make way for these new an...

I should add that personally, I navigate around the session view using the number pad on the x-session. I've got bome's midi translator running converting my midi keypad buttons into directional keystrokes. So all I do is tap either left or right to get to the column I want, hit loop in and hit loop...

Heya, no worries :) I'm pretty sure you don't have to be ON the actual clip to cause it to loop. You just have to be on the active track. And with regards to there being a midi command for selecting a sample, what you *could* do is assign a midi button or whatever to each of the tracks. Hit midi ass...

Firstly, are you using Live 4 or Live 5? You can midi-assign loop in and loop out points with Live 5. Just hit the midi-assign button, click on the IN and hit your midi button! If you'd like to adjust the loop start point, just click on the number portion of the box and twiddle your knob (lol). I'm ...

i am definitely -- i used Acid before Live, and still use the acid paradigm WITHIN live -- i can switch back and forth between both progams easily Only thing about acid 5 that annoyed me was the media manager database engine thing... seemed a little too fluffy for pro audio.. but yeah, a few things...
