Note-Off on pending launch clips not sent to remote devices

I'm writing software for controlling Live 7 through a custom hardware interface. I've run into a bump: Live does not send the a note-off message for a clip that is pending launch if it ends up not actually launching. Let me give you an example of why this would be a problem: Three clips – A, B, and ...

Actually if it were really just 32, I think it would be 1.45ms overall (buffer size / sample rate * 1000) But you're right, there's obviously extra buffer being tacked on. I never stopped to notice this, because I've been using FireWire audio for so long (my last PCI card was an Echo MIA). But you'r...

veggieryan: are you sure about that? I set my buffer at 32 samples in Live 5.2 on a Mac Pro and it really seems like 32 samples to me. I ran the some outputs back into the inputs and it did clock in at 2.88ms. I could be wrong, though. Do you have more info? I haven't heard of this before, and it do...

It's true that Apple ships robust products that have been very well tested. However, you can't let idealism supersede technical facts. Also, I don't appreciate being talked down to :) I'm not talking down to you, you are going off about things based on theory, not based on your knowledge of the dev...

You're right, when I first posted I didn't know the 17" models had FW800 -- but as you can see from my last post, I've figured that out by now :)

You misunderstand, it's not the CPU that becomes taxed, but the system bus. I didn't know that the Fireface 800 could work in 400 mode, though. I looked on their site and didn't see that noted anywhere. Once again, your not stating this from any point of knowledge, sorry, not trying to be harsh, bu...

MOTU 828mkII or Traveler. The Firefaces are really good, but keep in mind the Macbooks (both Pro and normal) do not have Firewire 800 ports, so you would be stuck with the Fireface 400. The 800 is mainly for daisy chaining three fireface 800's together, the devices don't even come with an 800 cord,...

There's not much of a point to having an 800 port on the Macbooks, anyway, as a single Firewire 800 device that ac...

the pad kontrol is nice, but make sure you test out your pads a lot right after you get it. a couple of mine were bad and would stick constantly, leaving long stuck notes in the recorded midi. personally i like the akai pads better, but the mpd24 still isn't shipping (as far as i know) and it had a ...

No problems with setup. The MOTU drivers work great on Intel. MOTU makes really solid hardware, you can't go wrong with them. Live 5 works down to a 32 sample buffer (1.43ms) for me. Below that, you start getting pops regardless of CPU usage. On the performance test, a 32 sample buffer uses 25% cpu....

Strange, I'm using the same versions on both Ableton and Neodynium as you. You aren't loading a mono version of the plugin or something are you?

Hi feyshay. Try setting it up like this.

If that doesn't work, what version of Neodynium are you using? What OS?
