Re: Which USB audio device?
I've read some reviews on the NI Audio Kontrol 1. I gonna buy the NI AK1 (oh my wallet!). Low latency, good audio quality and nice software package. One downside: it misses digital IO, but I don't really need them. Thanks again.

Re: Which USB audio device?
HiEnergy, the Phase 26 doesn't seem to have ASIO driver, right? How's the latency with MIDI Keyboard and Live?
leedsquietman, good USB audio device are still that expensive?! I'll take the Edirol UA-25EX into account. Thanks for your advice.

Which USB audio device?
Hi, I'm looking for a simple portable USB audio interface with good driver, low latency and low CPU load (for Windows Notebook). I don't need any advanced features like multichannel, digital IO. I was thinking of one of these: - TERRATEC PHASE 26 USB SE (EUR 99) http://www.thomann.de/gb/terratec_pha...

take a look into the Live 7 audio engine fact sheet
http://www.ableton.com/_common/download ... eet-en.pdf
page 4 + 5 "Freeze, Flatten"
That should answer the question.

[...] how else can you explain taking 500MB worth of samples, then packing it into a ReFill and the ReFill is 250MB? major compression happening. whether that equates to bit reduction or sound loss, who the fudge knows but the Props. anyway, rambling. and done. The explanation is pretty simple. Lik...

I checked the Live 7 demo and the good news are - The drum racks and even more the rex support might be a nice addition for those without a drum VSTi. Since I have a dedicated drum VSTi for sequenzing drums (incl. groove matching and the like) and slicing / dicing audio and rex files, drum racks are...

Macro feedback and folder tracks
Would you please implement the following things? - Macro controls parameter feedback When you map a instrument rack macro control to ONE instrument parameter within the rack and you fiddle the macro control, you get a parameter change on the instrument. Great feature! But it does not work the other ...

Thank you laird, that was the info i was after. I know about the (multiple channels) resizing, but having real organized folder and group tracks would make life much easier with live (esp. when using a mackie control where all channels get listed), IMHO. miqueas1, I wasn't aware of the fact that you...

That's not exactly answering the question. Look, I' m aware of the fact that I don't have any pets. Also I like my working live sets as much as I like my working audio system. But I don't like putting my flawless audio system installation at risk by installing live 7 demo. so why don't you live 7 gu...

Are those things fixed? Should I update to Live 7?
Hi folks, two things that I find pretty annoying in Live 6 are: - Too many tracks in the session view, esp. when opening multitimbral softsynths. Can you finally fold tracks that belong to one synth? Any sort of folder tracks? Group tracks? Something like that? - No parameter feedback in instrument ...

Update: I tried huskervu 1.01 with MIDI Yoke and it worked in the way that it didn't lock up. The bad news is that the display does not update correctly as Boulderdash pointed out in his post . So i got the choice between (A) correctly displaying the MCU display but locking up after 0 to 30 minutes ...
