You need to map the global scene launch play button also. The play button on the master channel strip. I think alternatively there is a ‘select next scene on launch’ option. This would mean you wouldn’t need to have a ‘down’ button. The trigger button would just move scene selection down every time....

Manual midi mapping only applies to controllers with Remote turned on in midi preferences.
