Re: Arp Advanced Mode only alows 6 Steps? I would like 16 :)
Has anyone created a version of the Arp that allows up to 16 steps in Advanced mode or can you suggest a better device for this purpose? Did you search on maxforlive.com? Thanks so much for the reply. Yeah I tried several devices from maxforlive.com but none seemed to do what I wanted. So I thought...

Arp Advanced Mode only alows 6 Steps? I would like 16 :)
Hey there guys, hope you're all doing great. I really like the Max for Live Essentials Arp (MIDI effect) but find it strange and unusual that the Advanced mode only allows up to 6 steps as opposed to 16 like the other tabs of the plugins and most other step-sequence arps (like Sylenth1, Hive .etc). ...

Making Live automatically scroll to selected channel?
Hey there guys, hope you're all well :) When working on a large project with dozens of tracks, suppose I'm on track 1 in the arrange page, then select track 20 and finally hit Tab to show the Session View / Mixer. I notice that the mixer does not scroll to track 20 automatically, so I'm left fumblin...

Live not sending Sustain Pedal off signal when stopping play
Hey there guys, I notice that Ableton Live does not send a Sustain Pedal off message to MIDI channel when I stop playback. I'm using the Una Corda library which has lots of "sounds" that play while the sustain pedal is down. Each time I stop playback of my project, I can still hear those s...

Re: Several Ableton Live questions from a Cubase guy
Hi there, as a former Cubendo user I now that things work a little different with LIVE, but IMHO easier. User-library: Go to settings - library and define the place on your hard disc/pc/mac of your user library, where your own presets will be saved/located. Create an INSTRUMENT RACK as default VST-...

Several Ableton Live questions from a Cubase guy
Hey there guys, hope you're all doing great. I'm currently on the 3rd day of my Ableton Live 10 Suite demo and really lovin it. I have several questions that I was hoping you could possibly help me with: * When using VST plugins, is there a way to save a certain "preset" as a default prese...

Closing a single plugin with keyboard shortcut (Esc?)
Hi guys, hope everyone is well :) I am aware of the Ctrl+Cmd+P shortcut, but this opens and closes all plugin windows for the current track. What I'm after is simply a way to close the current open plugin. Using the ESC key works in some plugins, but not others. Am I missing something? Cheers Fotis

Re: Automation in live, way more tedious than in most Daws
Being an ex-Cubase user, I must agree that the automation in live leaves a lot to be desired! The 2 absolute essentials that are lacking from automation are: 1) Ability to type a value for a point 2) Ability to snap the automation points And as a nice to have, it would be great to see curves and the...

Re: Live 8 Demo library intsall VERY slow
I'm also trying the demo of 8.0.4 on my quad-core PC here and it took over 30 minutes to build the library, is this normal?

Hey all, I have tried the soft synths mentioned here extensively and I own Zebra2. I recently bought the TI Desktop for $1800 AU (AU is worth less than US dollars) :D I also use Thor in Reason which is an excellent synth and have extensively tested out NIs Massive. - Raw oscillators: Sylenth1 or Tho...
