I actually think it looks really good. Check out the outline on the second page It seems like a good way for a beginner to quickly get a full picture of the entire process rather than just picking up tidbits here and there as I encounter various roadblocks. Also, it's not just abstract like a book o...

Traveler firmware update
I know this isn't a Live question but I've noticed alot of people here using the MOTU Traveler and MOTU's site has no forum.
Can anyone explain how to update the firmware from v 1.01 to 1.05 on windows xp? I have followed the instructions and the help topic on MOTU's site but it just doesn't work.

Here's the problem: People who just mess around for fun or play live don't have any need for comping. But, people who want to use Live as a professional production tool can't do so without comping. It all depends where Ableton wants to go. I guess to show the abes how fair and reasonable I am I'll r...

I thought it only applied a fade in and out on the ends of a clip - not a true crossfade that overlaps a neighboring clip. And, I've considered the automation possiblities using two tracks but that is very cumbersome and time consuming - particularly when you know how easy it is in other apps. I'd l...

The real problem with Live- Vox composite/ crossfading
If Live would add just one feature I and many other producers could throw away PT, Cubase, Logic, etc. Live needs to allow you to record several takes and create a composite track with crossfades on the edit points. You cannot produce vocals without this ability. No serious producer can consider Liv...

Great idea smutek. I quit 3 years ago. It's hard at first but it gets easier everyday. The best part is that the cravings completely vanish after a few months - it's like you never smoked in the first place. Keep that in mind when you're struggling. It's not always going to be tough. Once you make i...

changing playback position when editing clips
Hi all - I'm a new live 4 user and tried a search for this topic and have read the manual but to no avail. Anyhow, when I edit the content of a clip in session view, e.g. drawing midi notes, and I want to quickly audition what I just did without listening to the whole clip I move the start marker ri...
