Session automation obviously was requested a lot, but metaclips would have been a nice. i.e select a bunch of stuff in arrangement view and drag it into session and it would make metaclips which contain the automation, sounds, clips etc from each track in automation. Seems like the session -> arrang...

Why can't there just be a 7.5 this year that is free for all 7 users?

Well, for creating a submix, you have to use the 'audio to' -> routing feature, since I want several tracks mixed into one. So yeah, with 'audio to' there isn't a pre/post fader option for each track. On the submix track I have 'audio from' set to 'No Input'. Now I just tried this again with 7.0.1 a...

Submix and panning

Hi all! Just wondering if someone can confirm this behavior as normal or not in 7.0.2. I created a submix of several tracks (all set with their audio to -> a new audio track). When I adjust the panning of the individual tracks, it has no effect in the submix (the sounds are always center). Is this n...

Yeah, it's always been an awesome pair. The interface is simple, and once you get it setup in live mode, you probably won't even need the manual anymore (all the features are up front and intuitive).

+1 on the sluggish meter display, but using looking at the meters in software is better anyway.

Hmmm.... In the preferences -> midi/sync tab, do you have the trigger finger selected as a control surface? Also the two dropdowns beside it should have your trigger finger in and out ports selected. Have you ever used enigma or changed the presets on the TF? Maybe it's changed. All I did to get min...

Hey, try loading preset 1 on the TF (recall -> p1). Then try the drum rack. Also rightclick on the drumrack title bar and lock to trigger finger to keep the mapping always active.

setup.exe on dvd is different

I noticed the setup.exe on the suite dvd 1 is about 40 megabytes larger than the downloaded one I used. Also, the dvd version is 7.0 vs the 7.0.1 download.

Should I uninstall 7.0.1, then install the dvd 7.0, and then upgrade to 7.0.1 again?

I have this as well. I bought the suite, and installed all 4 dvd's on top of live 6.0.10, and have the missing samples message at the bottom that will not go away. I haven't tried what Stone said yet, but I don't want to uninstall 6 quite yet. I will try to install 7 over top of everything again and...

I get this as well. It is intermittent as mentioned, and I have had this in Live 6.0.10 and 7.0.1. I've noticed it more in 7 since I started playing around with the new suite's instruments. Some of them take a while to load and will 'sometimes' create loud pops and volume bursts on a loop point, and...

No, typically in this situation people have 2 tracks setup; one for recording with the monitor off, and one for listening with the monitor on/auto. Just route the same audio to both tracks. It is a bus track concept and is very common.

Damn! Well I'm not counting on it being added any time soon. I won't be in my studio for a few days to try, but can putting a pitch plugin in front of the drum rack achieve a similar effect, or will the automapping ignore it?

is there any way to make the selector on the right of the drum rack midi controllable or macro mappable? Good question, I didn't even think of that but if I can set it to a spare fader it'd be perfect. Anyone figured out something for this? My Trigger Finger on preset 1 works perfect with the Drum ...

Yeah automation in the session would smooth out my workflow when I get into this kinda situation. I select the 'moment' parts in a block section and delete the rest or drag it to an empty area in the arrange. I would like to just drag it into session and have 'metaclips' made out of that captured mo...
