Thoughts on Mash Ups
I'd like to play devil's advocate for a moment if I could. Being that Live is a popular tool in the field of mash-ups, I'd like to hear some other Live users opinions on this new-ish genre. Let me start the discussion with my own opinion. While I have no problem with the legal implications of sampli...

Korg Legacy Tip
Hey guys, This isn't totally the forum to post this in I guess but there aren't any real good ones for their products. So dig this, I was using the legacy collection the other day (specifically the MS-20) and was using my MS2000 as a controller. It turns out that Korg fortunately maintains all the s...

honestly, i've got a trigger finger, an oxygen 8, and that new alesis photon x25 with the wicked XYZ dome, but the controller i use most for like is a Korg MS2000 and a Kaos Pad. The MS has just tons of knobs to assign, and it's layed out like a real synth so thats always a plus. And the Kaos pad is...

I personally have never had much luck with Pentium M processors. They skimp on alot of processing power for the sake of power and such. So if are willing to buy a laptop with only 2 hours of battery power, look into www.Sagernotebook.com I got a real pentium 4 laptop there (4791 model) and in genera...

it's a 3 part harmony first of all, you can tell by the inflection in the 3 voices. a harmonizer would sound more dead on. it is a tape delay, and you can probably get the swirl with 2 phasers on the 2 higher harmonies with different settings. the very end, you can do that with autofilter with the l...

Rule #1
Well, you are sort of breaking rule #1 of songwriting. Never start with the beat. The reason you should start with anything else (like a bassline, or a simple chord progression) is because a musical riff can be interpretted a number of ways in the beat realm, so you could come up with mulitple beats...
