Ahuh bingo!!!! Yup Live 7 was causing a problem that meant Live 6 wouldn't load my Midi controller

I should add that all these crashes happened after I installed live 7, I'm going to uninstall it now that I think about it and give it a go.

If I load Ableton Live 6.0.10 with my Alesis photon x25 it crashes. The crash happens at the splash screen, so before the full program loads. Live 6.0.7 Runs perfectly, but i installed Live 6.0.10 and it loaded once, now it won't again... I can't figure out why. Any thoughts?

check in the system properties, specially around the device manager :) I know vista can emulate old ms os behavior, maybe it will help the photon a bit. On the other hand, the problem can be related to the soundcard of the x25, as you prolly know that type of devices ( like the video ones) have to ...

Thanks for the adice, but i refuse to go back... Xp shat me, and vista is running my tablet interface so smoothly that it'd be a shame to loose it. He peeps,, I was wondering what steps i should take to figure out a problem i'm apparently having with my Alesis photon X25.
