I guess I should really stop bitching. Even having to switch between the plug-in template and the ableton automap is still loads better than what we had to do just a few years ago. I guess I can click record if I have to..lol I didn't mess around with the new automap as much as I would have liked to...

Well, I updated to 6.05 and this was the first thing I tested. It indeed still happens. Doesn't matter if the track in question is armed or not. Quite maddening really.

I normally like to actually play my bass/lead/drum lines but I noticed when using other software step sequencers I come up with stuff i would never play.

I know the piano roll is somewhat similar but it's just not the same.

Well, the automapping is great, but what's better than that is the lcd screen that shows you all the controls. I looove mione. Can't imagine not having it. The keys are great as well.

It came on my music computer Windows XP mce that is. I have not had one problem. not even a hiccup.

Mixing and mastering are two things I completely suck at. For some reason I just don't have the ear for it. I would gladly pay a reasonable price for someone else to do it. Somebody that has a better ear for levels and eqing.
