Is there a way to change the tempo with a group's launch botton?
I know you can do it with the scene launch but I can't figure out how to do the same thing for a group.
Thanks!

MIDI Synch - Ins and Outs Not Appearing
Hey Guys, I'm using Live 8 and a Launchpad, when I open my MIDI Synch options the Input and Output fields are grayed-out and I can't select them. How do I fix this? Here's a screen of what my MIDI Synch options look like: http://img31.imageshack.us/img31/5702/screenshot20101218at438.png Thanks guys!...

Re: Saving/retrieving instruments/effects
Hey, I think I can help you out with this. When you want to save a rack, instrument, effect, or pretty much ANYTHING else in Ableton you can select it, and drag it into your browser. So let's say you want to save an instrument: First, make sure that the folder you want to save it in is opened in Liv...

Re: Freeze / Flatten - What is the point?
ErnstEiswürfel answered a big part of your question, but I wanted to add something. While producing, it is VERY useful to Freeze Midi tracks where you have altered any of the clip parameters. This is CPU intensive and can lead to minor glitching (delays in clip launches, slight stutters on your mast...

Re: Mapping Tempo
Hey David, my live set is about gig in space. There are about 24 tracks, 120 - 150 scenes, 4 sends, 3 MIDI controllers, and 1 analog audio input. The tempo changes are never more then 10 BPM at a time. Even when I DJ and change tempo using the knob I've mapped to change tempo, I still hear some glit...

Re: Mapping Tempo
Hey Guys, thanks for the help. The problem is that when I change tempo in Live with a knob of any type, endless or not, I can hear the tempo change glitching. It isn't as smooth as I'd like. However, if I click the tempo field to select it, than hit my computer's arrow keys up and down, the glitchin...

Re: APC40 & LaunchPad MIDI Conflict
I fixed the issue by turning off the Remote option for the Launchpad and leaving it on for the APC40.

Re: Mapping Tempo
outershpongolia - Thanks for the help!
I currently use the method of selecting with the mouse and using arrow keys, but would prefer NOT to touch my computer.
Is it possible to select the tempo field with a knob without changing the tempo?

Re: Mapping Tempo
Thanks for the response Hei©o.
I use an APC 40 and I'd like to map "Nudge +" and "Nudge -" to increase and decrease tempo by increments of 1 BPM.
Anyone know if this is possible?
Please let me know, thanks!

Hey Guys,
Is there any way to map my tempo so that pressing one button increases the tempo by 1 bpm and pressing another button decreases the tempo by 1 bpm?
Thanks,

Tempo Changes in Live - During Performance
Hey Guys, I've been using Live for about a year and a half and feel like I am really getting the hang of it. I use it to DJ and perform music that I produce. There is one thing, however, that I have always had an issue with. Tempo changes never seem to go very well. I don't understand why, I think i...

Re: MIDI Conflict: APC40 & Launchpad
Hey Guys, I found a solution and I thought I would share it. :D It's actually a lot more simple than I thought... I just had to turn off 'Remote' in the MIDI Sync Preferences. So I revoke my offer for someone to fix my problem for $100, but I still really appreciate all of your help! Thanks Guys!!! ...

Re: MIDI Conflict: APC40 & Launchpad
My band mate uses 2 Launchpads and I use the APC40. He uses them to play bass lines, drums, and leads we sample at 16th note quantization.
