Using the sidechain function in Live with Softube Console 1
I have just bought the Console 1 MK ii and was wondering if anyone knows how to get the pumping sidechaining function to operate using it and Ableton Live? The Softube Console 1 manual is pretty vague about this feature. So any help would be appreciated.

Re: Taking a look at Cubase
I have been using Live in tandem with Logic Pro for a few years. The quality of the audio output is noticeably different with Logic much better. that has been discussed to death and is bullshit, total bullshit, i agree however (using both here as well) that the plugs are by far superior and that i ...

Re: Taking a look at Cubase
I have been using Live in tandem with Logic Pro for a few years. The quality of the audio output is noticeably different with Logic much better. I have recently upgraded my monitors to a pair of Focal CMS65's and there is no doubt about Logic's superior audio engine. But having said that I still use...

Re: Q: about ableton Live/itunes Motu Ultralite volume ?
I'm having a hard time making the output volume of apple itunes and ableton corralate to one another through the motu ultralite. if i set live to be at an acceptable level the itunes is insanely loud, even if it's basicly set to 1. on the vol. level. I have found that this is the same case for yout...

so to sum it up: if i would like to do the mixing in a secondary application, would you prefer sending the mixer tracks from live over rewire, or render to individual tracks and load into the secondary app? The good thing about a rewire is that you can save both application states, so when you go b...

How is Logic Studio's audio engine better? ... Live is not worse than Cubase, Logic, Samplitude, Sonar and other so called 'serious' DAWS when warping is off. I'll try with warping off and see but I would have thought that the warping facility in Live is what sets it apart from other DAWs. The plug...

What I'm telling is rewire is about sharing the same audio engine. Sure the sound will still comes from reason but the master audio output will be the one of live ( for example ) and not the one from reason. This can make big difference. With live 6 I was rewiring into protools to get advantage of ...

Re: motu ultralite v digi 002 rack
New motu ultralite v old digi 002 rack. Which would you rather have? I have a choice! It depends on how many problems you want to buy into. Digidesign is headache territory, their drivers are always problematic. The Ultralite on the other hand has given me ZILCH problems since i bought it when it f...

Re: Motu Ultralite not recognised by OS X
Oh and p.s. i'm running Tiger on a 1st gen. Macbook. There's perhaps a couple of things you may need to do: 1: Open up your Audio Midi Setup application, found in utilities. Drag the app to the dock for easier access. Go through the set up process and connect your Ultralite to your studio. 2: The U...

Hi, As the license states, you're allowed to have Live installed on two machines at the same time, anytime. That means that, indeed, if you change a computer, you'll be allowed to re-unlock on the new machine, to always have Live installed on two machines. The license also says that you're supposed...

Sound quality really depends on the hardware you are using with it... Well, let me just say that when I compare Live mixes with Logic Express mixes using the exact same audio hardware there is no comparison. Logic Express is far superior! I love Live but I don't like the compromise it provides in a...

Re: Motu UltraLite vs. Mackie Onyx Satelite which sounds bet
and which would you rather have I like the amount of i/o on the ultra lite, but i'm just thinkin, with the price drop of the onyx i could spend the rest of that scratch on somethin else like a xio synth, or novation sL, or the alesis drumpad controller, ooorrrrrr so minus the extra i/o how do you l...
