I think that DI'd acoustic guitar recorded always sounds a bit shit.. like its strung with elastic bands, and getting things right at source is so much better than trying to fix things with effects IMO so i would suggest composing your stuff plugged straight in and fork out for a condenser ...

i really like dorian concept.. hell of a player.
i like flylo too and he is shit hot live... but sometimes the vinyl crackle he adds to his tracks kind of annoys me.. many others do it too... and also it has no dynamic range at all. I know its part of the sound and all that, just my opinion.
