You can launch an external wave editor tho - I use the free version of Spark ME to slice and dice and add fx to loops and it works a treat.

yeah - the first couple of versions of SFAcid were great due to their simplicity but as they tried to add midi support and vst support it all started getting horribly messy and incoherent. no thanks.

Use the er1 as the master. Check the bug forum - plenty of discussion about live midi clock problems there.
