Re: Greyed out menus

the subject says it all. Yeesterday, all the menus were greyed out and I couldn't neither use the keyboard shortcuts. Then, all suddenly returned to normal state. It seems I went to the live menu or clicked the apple menu just before everything came back. You should do a seach before posting. Follo...

We've had hyperthreading on PC's since way before 5 and did we see any rush for immediate support? C'mon Abe's - having a rock solid & bulletproof Live 5 regardless of platform can only encourage even more buyers than a strategy of 'we'll fix it in v6 so you'll have to buy that'. All of course ...

I'm wondering, All of the Skiptracers of the world. When will you wake from your dream in which Live 5 is "Rock Solid" on thousands of computers ? You personally know thousands of people for which Live 5 has shown rock solid since it's inital release? Or maybe you mean that it wasn't but t...

Supster, Don't waste you time and breath with people who use common sense as the knowledge of ignorance. Yes, Live's working just fine even though Ableton keeps on releasing bug fixes !?!? If my copy of Live was working like theirs I would't be hanging around the BUGS AND PROBLEMS section of the for...

Most dark clouds do have a silver lining, if you look hard enough. well, then help me find the silver lining in these: 1 - very badly underperforming arrangeview at low resource usage. leads to lockups, "white screen of death" and occasional crashes. 2 - session view duplicating scenes pa...

Sometimes a bug can speed things up...:? I was getting the greyed-out menus not when exporting a MIDI clip, but when copying an audio clip from session view into arrangement view. It was pissing me off having to open and close preferences to clear it. So I tried dragging the clip across. No greyed-...

i think it needs to be pointed out again: the people that are not experiencing the bad performance issues are very quick immediately defend ableton and throw the ball back at the people who are either trying to get them fixed or giving up in total frustration its a matter of selective perception, b...

All file menu items unavailable after exporting midi files

I don't know if this was happening witih 5.0.2. But in 5.0.3 after I export a clip as a midi file, all items in the file menu are grayed out and unavailable. No saving, no open, no nothing. Even with keyboard shortcuts none of these items are available. That's not all. If i open and close the prefer...

It is really funny to read other people interpret your own words :) However, the most important words of the above statement are "when" and "how". We also never said "it will not come" nor we said "it is there now". So again, it is on our list, it is getting ...

i'm kinda starting to like this single processor utilization limitation. keeps me creative.:P Yes that's a very good point. And it is certainly a good way to look at music making. BUT. And there is always that damn BUT. Professionaly you very often have to meet certain expectations that are not alw...
