One question regarding the cracshes. Does your computer bluescreen or anything?
And just to rule it all out, have you tried running MemTest86+ ( http://www.memtest.org/ ) to ensure that all of your memory is functional.

+1000 on Microtonic ( http://soniccharge.com/microtonic ) it's simply an awesome drum machine for electronic drums. Incredibly versatile and easy on the CPU.

Live 8.2.2 + Mac OS X Lion
Hey all!
While I know Live 8.2.2 is not supported under Max OS X Lion, I just wanted to know if anyone else has tried to run Live 8.2.2 on it?
Mine Crashed on Application Start ("Initializing Application...").

Re: Vocoder overdriving madly, only remedy ->end program
Hi, I was able to reproduce the overdrive, but I didn't have to restart Live afterwards. Just disabling the vocoder OR turning "formants" back up did the trick for me. Which system/version are you on? Hi, and sorry for my delayed answer. I am on a MacBook Pro (1st gen) 2 GHz 2 Gb Ram, run...

Re: Vocoder overdriving madly, only remedy ->end program
Don't anyone else get the samme artifact when you use the above ALS-file?
It's silent at first and then it rises to a peak and some seconds later (after stopping playback) there's this "pop" coming from the speakers and then Live will be dead silent until you restart it.

[5173] Vocoder overdriving madly, only remedy ->end program
Just as the topic says, I have a Live set with one track holding "Ambient Bells & formants" and Vocoder. For some reason, at the moment unknown to me, the Vocoder overdrives to such an amount the nothing is heard, until it releases - when a loud pop is heard. After this I cannot play a...

[amo] Moving Clips(Construcion kits) gives displaced gfx
When I am moving clips from the Construction kits (in the library) into the live set the clip graphics are displaced by one row, which in one sense seems quite ok as they are in fact a folded group of clips BUT if I already have one folded construction kit clip (a folded group of clips) present in t...

... Having said that, deep programmers will tell you that 4 operators is not enough for some serious FM textures. But the easy fix is to rack 2 operators, and you get 8. Plus I've never needed that deep a level of programming, personally. This however will not supply 8 operators routed in serial, w...

I really never got around the clunky interface of the FM8, or most of the NI synths - I do however LOVE the old Yamaha synths (dx7 et al), even if they too were real tough to program. Operator? I LOVE it. It is so easy to edit, so easy I actually erased all presets and program my sounds from scrath ...

nice one. 'looped noise' is the old style 'look up table' of random waveforms (pseudo random). the old flavor cancels with 'utility plug in' phase inversion, the new one doesn't, it's truly random. For some reason, the words cancellation and phase inversion does not really rhyme with the conclusion...
