Does this happen to anyone else? mystery audio clip glitch
So I have a huge ableton set 6 hours of music 1000 samples or so. There is only one scene that stutters when triggering. There is a gap of around a half second until the scene is played. Changed to RAM mode, no dice. I only work with 8 or less audio tracks at a time and this one has 5 tracks. Every ...

Re: Good pitch shifting plug
For me there is no comparison to the eventide pitch factor. Antares Harmony gets close but it has too much latency. Eventide is the holy grail of pitch shifting...

Re: Goodbye FCB1010. Hello KMI SoftStep.
Does the pedal lock the setting when you remove your foot or snap back to default value? I use the FCB for volume of my loopers and am wondering about this.

wanted to share this FREE MuRF EP and Free TouchOSC template
Hey everyone! Just wanted to give something back to the amazing ableton community. This is a link to an EP I made using the Moog Midi MuRF in various ways. In addition I included a couple TouchOSC/OSCulator templates for the little phatty and midi murf. Enjoy! http://benhovey.com/journal/2011/3/21/f...

Re: Field Recording
You can get surprisingly good results with your iphone. The mic is good and you always have it. No stereo unless you get a blue mikey or something. You can make the mono files stereo later with some creative processing. (Freq Shifter, modulated filters, etc...)

Re: How to make a rythmic gate effect like Pretty Lights?
I think what he is talking about is MOLAR VST. I know pretty lights uses it with a monome 128. It is a collab between Deadmau5 and Steve Duda. Documentation is hard to find but it is awesome and works great with monome emulators (I use the APC). Joel (Deadmau5) was surprised when I told him that it ...

Re: Best APC40 step sequencer?
you could just use the CS step sequencer for basic stuff. I really like using Molar Vst with the Monomulator for that stuff quite a bit.

Re: Help using Atmosphere on Intel Mac
sorry to say, but buy Omnisphere... Atmosphere runs like crap using the wrappers Spectrasonics provide. They broke their relationship with UVI who provided the original programming and are now doing it in house. You can get the upgrade very cheap as an intel mac owner... 150 dollars I think.

Re: NAMM 2011 :: Ableton Live 9
Who cares about a version 9. What more do you possibly need to do with the program. 8 has everything I could need right now. Plus, you don't want them to rush it. Every version of live (I have been a user since v.2 has taken a year or so after release to get stable, so let's be patient. To quell the...

Re: Scale effect update
Yeah lets have the computer do our scales and chords for us and not learn how to actually play. :roll: Ridiculous. Sometimes I think the computer makes us too lazy and the music ends up suffering because of it. I'm so glad I learned how to play before all the technology came along to distract us... ...
