Re: Pre-cached search!
Chiming in... Love live.. the search is really terrible though. Whats up with it? I just had a missing mp3 for a sequence. I directed live to look in the actual folder where I know the file to be. It is named exactly as it is in the track. Why does it take 30 seconds to look through 12 files and the...

Why is my live 7 fine, my live 8 slow?
I have never had an issue with Ableton before yet Live 8 runs like a slug for me. I have one project that runs smoothly with tonnes of effects and tracks. Yet everything else I load takes seconds to get a response. What is going on? Live 7 runs smooth comparatively. I'm on a mac pro quad-core 2.8ghz...

Re: Recording a skype interview with ableton and soundflower?
thanks heaps. i have heard of people being able to do this with soundflower (http://cycling74.com/products/soundflower/) and with all the different input names and different input stuff in ableton (clearly i'm not an audio engineer yet) it would be fairly easy to route 2 channels together, such as t...

Recording a skype interview with ableton and soundflower?
Hi guys... i've been using live for a few years now. Work has got me doing some interviews and I figure I can use skype and soundflower with ableton to record both my end, and the other callers. Has anybody done this? I know just about anything can be done with re-routing using the soundflower and a...

I wish I could see in a status box an update of things
Hey there Ableton! Love your work. Here is a little suggestion for the box! :) Playing with a track 32 long and I have so many things going on. At a point in my song I have an accidental change of settings somewhere and it took a really long time to figure out what happened and where. Just a device ...

creating an effect like 'phase' in pro tools
Hi everybody! I was showing a friend of mine a track where I had 2 tracks of vocals singing the same thing. He suggested that I adjust the 'phase' like u can in pro tools so that the 2 audio streams don't clash. i couldn't find that in ableton and I'm just wondering if there is something like this t...
