I think they must be re-designing the midi spec. Last time I checked Live already thinks a program change event is a pitch bend message while assigning mappings. Seriously, Why cant we use program changes to fire a clip or change rack chains? Who knows, maybe sysex might get thrown in for good measu...

Since I use Live to playback MIDI notes in a loop on my hardware, I would not want it retransmitting a program change if I selected a new loop which I intended to play on the same patch.
