Btw..get the firebox..over the inspire..its a mixerless setup...with volume knobs and gains.

Thats a tremendous advantage..The inspire might be good for someone doing a LIVE PA in a club an just needed a simple IO.

I have the firebox and it works great on both my mac and pc. I'd go as far to say its the best cheap interface out there. The pre's on it are decent. If you want better, then maybe you should check out the onyx 400f.

I find these a little constricting. 3 synths isn't enough tonal variety for a whole mix I'd say. I routinely go beyond these rules get my projects finished quickly with no problems. Why 8 tracks?
