my computer case has a sticker for everything i think is 'cool' (and was fortunate enough to get a sticker for), and I have my ableton sticker right there next to my "race face" sticker

There's always been a producer's scene in Vancouver for sure -- just seems that for the most part nobody does anything with their tracks...

I call it a lack of labels/money/support for such things in the city. It's getting better tho!

i still use Live 4, only because all this talk about the orange dot/transport/scrubbing issues have sort of scared me. OK I found a solution on these forums. -- deleting the preferences.cfg inside:

C:\Documents and Settings\[user name]\Application Data\Ableton\Live 4.1.4\Preferences

got rid of the issue - had to reconfigure everything but that's whatever.

this is frustrating.. I have this .als file i've been working on and all of a sudden whenever i try to open it up, Live gives me this serious system error message, telling me to resave under a new name. Hmmmm... Perhaps you should go review that Live 4 manual a bit more. ;-) Live only loads clips to RAM if you tell it to do so on a per clip basis, other wise audio data is streamed direct from disk.
