IMHO
For less than $200, the behringer cant be beat. I find it so damn useful.. I mix and trigger everything in LIVE with it (when I get going... hardly touching the mouse) Love watching the values dance around on any automations... Press ONE button... bang... whole new set of knobs to edit whatever - ex...

Midi keys
I'll give another for the axiom...
All the features are great, especially the semi weighted keys...
Edirol has some hot controllers too... Check their site..

I guess that depends how how much you would like to have the boxed version (which may include some sample goodies?) and a hard copy manual vs. a pure download from ableton (slighly cheaper but immediate and you don't even have to stand up to get it). Also if you buy it locally, you would be supporti...

Yeah, that would be cool... again.. you can do this sort of thing with an external drum machine like the groovebox... each clip can be assigned to a totally different drum set using the bank changes.. its really cool. I imagine this sort of feature would be somewhat difficult to implement properly w...

I would LOVE the possibility to change the PATCH of Operator ON THE CLIP LEVEL the same way you can change the sound of your external synth using bank chages ...

Open it up?
I dont know alot about programming... but alot of you out there do know about programming... I wonder what the possibilities are of ableton adding open source plugin ability to LIVE..? Sort of like the way you could make your own buzz machines... or like how you could make your own game using the qu...

Using external drum machines in LIVE
Well, I'll try... in a nutshell... Normally, on a drum machine like the MC303groovebox (standalone) you select your sounds by selecting a channel (or track or something ie: 1-8 ), entering the sound select page (featuring a silly retro style, 6 charater, alphanumeric display) and then scroll the val...

Who here know MIDI? Tone selection on an MC303

To select sounds (and to play, from saaay.. a midi clip in live) on a groovebox, via midi, you need to send One CC00 message - value ## One CC32 message - value ## One PC # In LIVE... you have BANK SUB-BANK PROGRAM options Does anyone know what these LIVE values correspond to in MIDI terms? I ...
