I know NI just came out with the GR3 "SESSION" package that comes with its own interface. Never tried it yet though...

yeah, I ended up putting down GR2 and went the hardware route as well. Waaaaaay to CPU heavy... I'm using a behringer V Amp2, like in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=goHho9YVX0o
