The thing is this; with proper dual monitor support they could sort out how people 'want' to use Live - the ability to set-up the gui to suit; detach midi edit to second monitor or perhaps spread the session and arrange views.

Goodness knows the gui needs to get better.

Live needs to provide 'a' way of doing the editing that is user friendly, I don't think the answer lies in buying or using another host to do what Live should be doing better.

I hope people respond to this thread - after all this is how things change ... or not.

Even if you don't like the idea it is worth voicing an opinion.

90% of my tracks are generated by vsti's - so I spend a LOT of time editing midi data.

I am not into setting up these tests but I can tell you that there is very little advantage in Lives CPU usage on my dual Xeon - Tracktion is similar, but again this is not the type of stuff that uses much power anyway.

I have a dual Xeon and would love to be able to have Live use all the extra power.

Beyond that - dual core Cpu's are now on the market and are certain to become popular - I would like to hear what if any plans are afoot for supporting these platforms?

At least you can expand the GUI in Live, Tracktion for instance just stretches the view and looks terrible!
