Softsynths and FX with hardwired CC Parameters?
What are some other VI's besides Vanguard that have default CC assignments for parameters? I am asking because of a recent example I read in which Vanguard automation was recorded in session view. I would like to record other synths in a similar manner. Having default CC assignments makes it easier ...

What I've started doing is saving my plug-ins in racks, which I keep in Live's instrument rack presets in a folder I called 'plug-ins'. Then I can organize them by effects or instrument type. You can also save variations with certain parameters mapped to the macros of the rack for quick tweaking. n...

re-naming plugins
I have a lot of plugins for which some I dont remember what they do because they have abstract names like 'ohmboyz' and such. Is it possible to rename them for example 'ohmboyz-delay'? I cant do it in live.. can i do it in the finder (osx) somehow without screwing things up?

Moving the clip loop brace around with a 14 bit encoder
My goal is to move the loop brace within a clip in very small unquantized increments, like I can with the mouse when quantize in the cip is set to "Off". I have assigned one of the Push-Button encoders on the BCR2000 to the loop brace position in a clip. The encoder is set to transmit 14 b...

I am able to do the first example they showed, where the cc# is preassigned to a parameter, ie Vanguard. The second example, however I am not able to record the automation. I went over the video several times, making sure I did each step but doesn't seem to be working. Anyone have any luck doing this?
