Re: Need advice. Fabfilter vs Ableton's Audio Effects
... Have you considered DMG Audio products? Maybe demo them too, for comparison :) EQuality (the EQ) doesn't add much to Live's native EQ8 imo, but COMPassion (the compressor) is a pretty sweet deal! You can add/make mods to simulate all kinds of different flavors of compressors... And the build in ...

Also no copyright problems if your song becomes a hit!
If The Lumineers can do it with a song called "Hey Ho", you surely can with a song called "Ay"!

Does "Everything" also instantly play/preview your sample in sync with Live, when you click the sample?

But since I work more and more in the digital domain, I use logic less and less... Live is so much more intuitive!

Hey thegoodsirjames, You've read it here before, and I think it is true: You will only love it so much, as long as you don't have to become totally depended of it. Especially if your kids are depending on making you generate income to provide them with a good life. Since I have a kid, everything els...

OP opens browsers full screen on a 30" monitor 8O Yeah I know... I've just gotten used to it ;) It's really a luxury problem, because I do resize the window at times, but I often forget. I'm just that lazy! You can also use Change Colors in Google Chrome https://chrome.google.com/webstore/deta...

Stealth Mode for forum
With the old look of the forum I could easily check this forum on a daily basis at work. But this new color just attracts too much attention on my 30 inch screen at work. My boss already gave me a disliking look (which he never did when I had this site open before). And one of my colleagues already ...

I just wrote this in a different thread on the forum: Logo: The redesign of the logo is a big step back! I bet you this was the original design of the logo back in the twentieth century. Because that would be the first thing you would come up with, when you try to abstract the core of Ableton Live i...

@OP: Exactly my thoughts! The redesign of the logo is a big step back! I bet you this was the original design of the logo back in the twentieth century. Because that would be the first thing you would come up with, when you try to abstract the core of Ableton Live in a logo. Only it's now left like ...

Re: A tool for adding punchiness to beats?
I wouldn't say a transient designer would give you punchiness. It will help with the snappiness of a drum sound. Read up on Parallel Compression or New York Drum Compression (google)... I suggest you just use the standard tools in Live. If you do want to buy stuff, I recommend DMG Audio Compassion. ...
