Yeah - I am tempted to buy it, but am thinking that the money may be better spent on something else.

Although one click is faster, it only takes two clicks now. I am not sure this is a huge deal.

I have used a new Mac Mini with great results. Not sure why they should be avoided.

Is EIC worth the extra cash to get the boxed version?

For those of you who have a boxed version of Live 6 - how do you feel about EIC? Is it worth the extra cost to get a boxed version?

It would be nice if there were a way to at least try a handful of the instruments in demo mode to get an idea of what to expect.

The output of Handbrake (MPEG-4) can also be imported into iMovie.

Even though I did not unlock Live 5 until August 19, they will not provide the free Live 6 upgrade to me. I originally purchased an upgrade to Live 5 in March - but continued using Live 4 and did not unlock Live 5 until August. Now they will not provide the upgrade I was promised. They state: "...

I am glad about Ableton's policy to allow users to sell their software if they no longer want to use it. To me, this is important and shows that they are a customer-focused company. I used to be a Sonar user - until Cakewalk took the stance that you cannot sell the software - and the result has been...

One thing to consider when comparing costs is that the MacBook can basically be catagorized as a "thin and light" laptop because of its compact design (e.g., 1" thin). If you want something very compact, it is priced very, very good. An roughly equivelant Dell thin and light costs alm...

Operator should have been an integral part of Live (it is already anyway) as Simpler and Impulse are imho. Making it a 'pay extra to unlock' feature was (again imho) a bad, irreversable business decision that, for example, now makes it harder to create a user shared project base of presets and Live...

I use a Dell Latitude laptop with a D-Dock and it works great with my Creamware Pulsar PCI card. I'm sure it would work great with Universal Audio card as well.

It's too bad that Apple doesn't offer a docking station with PCI slots.
