wondering where to go next should not be a question when using the jomox because every single parameter is midi controllable. whether in your sequencer program or on the jomox09/999. you can progam a different values fo each parameter on every step in your sequence. so not knowing where to go is a l...

check the new xbase999! have you visitsed both of there websites? if you can't live with out analogue the md will never satisfy your taste. but creatively - you can do more! to me however that means little when it still doesn't have 'that sound' so its really up to your personal tastes. give and sac...

yes it's unfortunate, but it's been this way since live got midi with version 4. it's a shame with older devices that have fixed CC numbers attached to their controls and use CC 32, 98, 100 and others for normal continuous control. i can only hope that if you and others let ableton know how this aff...

i run the two together often and anything i come up with in live i export and send to the mpc then sequence from there. i like live for many creative things, but for me, i can often get so much more bite and feeling in my music when sequencing the meat of the beats from the mpc. i can't explain it, ...

I record my records at 44.1/16bit then burn backup cd copies so i won't lose my time consuming work. You could always record them at higher resolution with your motu though, if you want. Make sure you record with your turntables quartz lock on to minimize the amount of track warping you will have to...

i just picked up an mpc4000 and i couldn't be happier with it. Making beats just works for me so much better on the akai. to me, it's a tremendouse difference in sound character and feeling i can achieve that i really like. but also there are many things I love doing with live that i can't do with t...

I'm going to suggest taking a look at the Max/MSP documentation. You can download it with out owning the software and many MSP objects are similar in function as Reaktor modules. The Max/MSP documentation goes into a good amount of detail as to how certain objects are useful where as Reaktor mainly ...

i have an jomox airbase and it does fill a space not attainable through any of my digital drum machines or samplers. all of the jomox parameters are midi controllable. from what i understand of the 09 you can progam a value in each step of your 09 sequence for every parameter of its sounds. the kick...

if i'm understanding you, you don't need to open the track to split it. just click near the bottom of the closed track at the point where you want to split. once the yellow cursor flashes you can command e. with the looping just select a range by click and dragging the the mouse and command L will l...

this may not help now, or ever, but perhaps try writing to the plugins support. maybe they can implement something in the future. ohmforce plugins let you re-order the list of parameters that show up in live(or other software) with a text editor. this lets you put the 128 you want at the top of the ...

I open cubase and load the patch in fm7 and import midi file. to me it sounds different. i've done thi...
