For the rest....i noticed in the OSX activity monitor that the push mixer mode takes the most CPU.
The 'device mode' on the push consumes 10 to 15% less CPU......around 28 % on my MBP.

Re: Push2DisplayProcess
Alright, quick disclaimer then. Use this at your own risk. Though it isn't voodoo, its just sending a message to the commandline to kill the process. It'll only work in OSX and uses imp.push from David Butler and Shell from Orcutt/Bernstein. I added a mappable button for it and you can control it f...

Re: 2nd Ableton Controller
have 2 novation launchkeys but i don't find it handy that the lights goes green once the corresponding clip is launched.
I get lost on a livegig so i use the push as my main cliplauncher and use a new BCR 2000 for tweaking the effects.
No control surface on the BCR but thats just how i want my setup.

Re: Reason 9.5 announces VST support
i think they would be making more money with selling their devices as VST plug-ins.
I used Reason before i switched to live 14 years ago but still miss the "Redrum" and "Dr-Rex".
i would buy these two devices any day as VSt's.

Re: Make massive 808s??
Maybe you can check out the 808 simulator of Dutch Techno producer Legowelt.
One of the best 808 simulators around and also free.
http://www.legowelt.com
You find the rack and clips in the software link.
Have fun!

Re: NI Komplete vs Moog Sub37
i come from a hardware background and owned some rare analog synths, samplers, drum computers but nowadays it's only software and a few midi controllers. With the controllers you can imitate the hardware feel and with all the different ableton or 3rd party effects you also can make a VST sound prett...

Re: Way to lock push on one instrument for note mode?
it's one off the reasons i use a second controller (BCR 2000) without a control surface next to the push for live gigs.
instant acces to all the FX racks in the master and return channels while triggering clips and playing notes on the push.

Re: Push2DisplayProcess
yep 200% on my MBP...but you can't go up to 200 or 400 %
Before reaching that maximum the problems start.
SSD drive, wifi off, deleted most third party plugins, etc etc just to save CPU

Re: Push2DisplayProcess
MBP 2011, Taskmanager Push2 CPU: Around 28% and 34% depending turning the encoders or do some live drumming on a drumrack or trigger clips or scenes. This is a simple liveset....8 tracks, four returns and some FX on the return and master channels, not every tracks is playing at the same time. A few ...
