2. CMD+R (or right click select rename)
3. Type in new name
4. Hit ENTER
-> All selected Clips are renamed

Yes of course I mean with overdub enabled it destroyes the clip boundries and clip naming. Else it would delete the MIDI data when writing automation.

Just for clarification: You know that multi clip select re-name already exists? Just not with unique numbering.

In my case I do not want auto-numbering when re-naming multiple clips at once. So for me it is fine as it is.

In Ableton arrangement recording automation in realtime overrides the clip structure. I like to consolidate MIDI clips (CMD+J) and name them properly. you know that you can already just drag&drop from Live's browser every FX plugin inbetween existing plugins everywhere in a chain?

At least on my Windows Installation of Live, Cmd+Opt+4 (Ctrl+Alt+4) toggles the view, just like the old command Cmd+Opt+L (Ctrl+Alt+L) .

I noticed that even in Session Mode PLAY button on KONTROL S MK3 does not re-start scene. Only SHIFT+PLAY restarts clips. VST3 specification has a pre-defined standard folder (on Windows Programs\Common Files\VST3). So all VST3s should be installed there by default.

Sorting by Company, FX Type etc. is done depending of the DAW. Like mentioned above, Live (like many other DAWs) has filtering by company build-in.
