THAT is a great tip. We all get stuck in a rut from time to time....and after my 150+ releases I would imagine its quite normal. usually I will annoy people on forums like this when Im not in the creative mood. hehe Ive used other peoples songs for reference, but have never tried anything like this....

I found Danny Hyde on here (this forum). A bit of a genius he is me thinks. he's got an album just completed called 'Aural Rage' http://www.auralrage.com/ Im not th ebiggest fan of experimental but this guy has something different to what my (probably) untrained ear hears in this genre.. Check it ou...

Yep warping a track with held chords and bass notes can be unpleasant regardless of warp settings.

Like Muthafunka, this is one of the reasons I have ditched Live as my main DJ tool and gone back to vinyl.

I still use it while DJ'ing as a 3rd deck though.

Thanks again Hoffamn, your correct the up and down arrows change the volume but not accurately, its the same as using a mouse.

I realise Live is mostly bandied as a performance tool, But surely Im not the only one writing, recording, and mixing in live.

This is very dissapointing.

Dont let it worry you. Your music is very good.

Aaah trghe backspace key. Not exactly obvious. What about changing DB values accurately though? typing in numbers to change volume isnt exactly a nice way to mix a track. Ableton? Anyone? You can reset it with the backspace key. lower or raise the value with the arrow keys or type in the value. Or ...

What can I say Carl. All of your tracks are Ace 8) I like all of them but I reckon Bang The Box yanks my chain a little more than the rest. Would have been nice if you had some more comments from our fellow Live users as your stuff is really really Top notch. Maybe a sunday isnt a music day for many...

Its not a bad idea at all imo. Logic, Pro tools both have this feature and I found it to be very useful.

meanwhile, how do you reset the master fader to -0db without switching to arrange view? As far as I know you cant. I have tried every combination of key commands on both mac and PC. Another highly irritating feature of Live is it seems there is no way to control a volume fader precisely with a key ...

EQ3... do we really even need it? hey Ableton I know your reading this. Check out something like Hydra tone. Obviously you couldnt implement something exactly like that. But is it possible to sample one hardware unit and give us some basic convultion EQ. This is real analog simulation. you know its...
