Re: live10, native lfo, ios vs android, ableton vs bitwig
Live users have to really try Bitwig to see how much better it is then Live. It took me six months before I went full Bitwig. Live lured me back for a while with Link. Though it wasn't enough and Bitwig has Link now which is really awesome. But seriously, Live needs to step up their game.

Re: big midi latency on thoughput with delay compensation on
Sounds like you have a higher buffer size. Try not monitoring audio in Live, but use instead direct monitoring in your audio interface or use a mixer.

Re: My Best/Worst Purchases
Best: Bitwig 2 upgrade Yeah I know this is the Ableton forum and I've been a user since Live 6, but Bitwig 2 really has a lot of great features and I have to say, it was money well spent! Worst: DSI Tempest I like the Tempest, but it requires a lot of work to organize the sound that I like. I only s...

Re: Why I'm leaving Live for Bitwig.
As a Live user who switched to Bitwig, then tried Bitwig on Linux, it was a challenge to get it to work properly. Though Bitwig does work now, just Bitwig, no plugins. It was a fun experiment, my PC has three OSs, W10, W7 and Linux Lite 3.4. When I want Live, I boot into W7. Linux Lite is blazing fa...

Re: Is there a Live for iPad app?
That's an excellent suggestion, but will I be able to then export/convert to something Live can open? Korg Gadget can export to an Ableton Live set. Though Gadget is like a drum machine groove box and one of the best ipad apps. LP-5 could be synced with Live via Link. I import sounds into LP-5 with...

Also LP-5 is a similar app. I like it better then launchpad for it's simplicity.

Re: Using 2 PCs
To get sounds from pc to pc, you could use spdif or adat optical connections, but then you would need two audio interfaces with that. Or you could use dropbox on each pc. I use dropbox to export files from my ipad to my pc. Everything that gets put in the dropbox folder gets synced to all you dropbo...

Re: Moving from NY...need recommendation!!
Denver is really cold in the winter. Plus side you'd be really close to the best ski mountains in the world. In NYC, did you have a car? Defiantly need one in Denver.

Re: Ableton Link. It's not just for apps anymore.
I would like a stand alone Link to Midi type program. That would eliminate the need for an iOS device when syncing hardware with Link. Just a midi cable or usb cable coming out of your computer to your drum machine/groove box. Midi clock is OK but doesn't stay in sync like Link. Plus Link rules!

Cool idea. In the meantime, have you checked out Midi Link Sync app?

Re: Link Jam
I've jamming with my favorite app, Midi Link Sync which allows a drum machine to be the master. So Live and my Tempest can play along together, no external snyc! I'm surprised more people aren't really excited about Link.

I have the Volca bass. It's alright. There where times I had cool jams for like an hour. I'd trade it for thr Volca sample. The new Volca fm looks cool too.

Re: Midi signal volume is low coming from Launchkey Mini
I think it's like one of those side buttons that change the velocity. There are 4 velocity levels, with 127 being the highest. You are probably on like 64 or something.
