There was a post on the General forum saying that the last beta version of Live 4.05 solves most of this problems. I haven't tried though, did you ?

it's brilliant! many thanks for the time you spent on this, it should be included on Ableton demos in the main website!

I guess it's more a pb of your audio drivers not being "multiclient", which means two applications can't use the audio interface at the same time.

What's your audio interface ?

energy xt was used because it's what can be downloaded easily and works to compare both cpu usages
you can make the test with the full version of Live and your other favorite sequencer

I am only talking about performance. not usability and workflow. usability and workflow is fantastic in Live I think, but performance is less than with Cubase/Nuendo. Could you contribute to help finding out what the increase of cpu usage is by posting some results at the following thread http://ww...
