How about using a electronicdrums hihat pedal and place it under the real hihat pedal. And so send CC#4 or note G#1 (Roland hat) for tap tempo into Live? It seems much more logical to use the hihat foot for tapping the tempo, rather than trying to BPM-analyze snare hits with all it´s nuances like gh...

In Kontakt, is the Resynthesizing anything special, or is it just Live-Style stretching? What can you do with it? I´m very new to live and so can´t give a good comparison. But in Kontakt you have both timemachine and tonemachine modes. The timemachine I assume is similar to the Live-style stretch. ...
