yeah. sampler's a cool lightweight and affordable solution, but it doesn't stack up to kontakt, in my opinion. i bought sampler, used it a bit and then sold it and paid for the upgrade to kontakt 2.0. i don't regret it. there are a lot more sound-shaping and modulation possibilities in kontakt. and ...

automation? loop length?
it's tough to tell from the screenshot, but how hard would it be to use this do do a small amt of automation? (e.g. changing envelope or filter parameters)
also, can you change the loop length (without changing the global loop)?

set 1.1.1 for all clips in multi-warp
when multitrack warping (e.g. for a multi-miced drumkit), I want to define 1.1.1 in the same place for all clips. it'd be GREAT if there was a right click on multi-select rather than forcing me to do it individually for each. thanks! (loving the multi-track warping, though. my drummer just got a lot...

tuning is a relative thing. usually you just have to shift a sample a half-tone for it not to be entirely dissonant with your track. but being in tune is only half the game... progression, tension and resolution are the most important uses of pitch, which do require some attention (if you don't want...

Clip Scrub Control Automation Messed up
(or is it me?) when I assign a midi controller (e.g. bcr2000) to the little box between the two nudge controls, and then play a clip and use the controller, it doesn't seem to work right. in absolute mode, the behavior is totally unpredictable. in relative modes, decrementing seems to work (i.e. tur...

i totally see what you're saying but i actually find this useful, because i mostly use nudge to correct beat alignment rather than phrase alignment. the way i see things there are two parameters that control this behavior, but only one is accessible through controls. the other one is like a phrase l...

i've recently started using a bcr2000 for this after working with a peavey1600 for a long time, and i have to say that the bcr is pretty sweet. it's nicely set up to provide access to a lot of live controls per channel (because of the endless rotaries and the lcds). for example, you can have 3 contr...

i run r5 and live5 on a powerbook (G4 1.25) daily and have not had a single crash on this setup. and r5 is in fact a bit more CPU efficient on the patches I use than r4. i do hate how little CPU headroom I have with this setup, but i tried to go back to logic and it just sux for automation compared ...
