Problem with Digi002 - monitoring...

Normally, I use an M-Audio firewire 410 through some M-Audio speakers at my house with Ableton Live - but I also have a ProTools LE (Mac G5) setup at my moms house that when I'm there. I have a Digi002 running 2 Alesis M1 Active Mk2 monitors. For a long time I thought that my Left monitor was busted...

Re: Making Acoustic Guitar sound like Electric Guitar

You might could get a somewhat usable distorted guitar sound if you eq'd and compressed it just right, but as far as a night broken up clean sounding electric - no can do on an acoustic IMO.

Re: This guy i work with won shut the F*ck up about Pro Tools

the ONLY thing PT has that other platforms don't is really stable DSP technology. Which is slowing reaching it's way somewhat into the "home studio" market - but at the same time becoming obsolete as both Mac's and PC's become more and more able to process bigger loads without the DSP. As ...

I'm just guessing but it sounds something like a super luper maybe with some kind of flange/echo going on? Just a guess...

Another thing to remember: You need to check the original BPM of your tracks - you can't make everything go at 120 BPMs and expect it to sound good...

I d suggest to not use midi stroke, but use an audio track for input, routed to other armed tracks, monitored to off. Could you elaborate a little more on how I could map that where I could use a few buttons on my controller to do all the clicking? The eventuality is that I'd like to be able to per...

especially Sampler. just record individual guitar notes at increasing loudness'. and drag the samples into Sampler. lots of room for anything you can imagine. dude, you could make your own sampled guitar-virtual-instruments in Sampler if you work hard enough at it. i love Sampler because it is only...

Problem with looping from a controller / Midistroke

ok. I posed on this in the general form and got somewhere with my original problem - yet I have created another. I'm using MidiStroke to be able to map one CC to a button on my controller to be able to select and arm, and hit ENTER on a track to begin recording. Then I have to set another button to ...

ok. I got it to work: I had to program one button to select the track and arm it - and another for the click - hitting the same 'select/arm' button didn't actually click the clip...I assume because the clip isn't there until I hit the button the first time... This works - but I am easily going to ru...

when you hit the button again, it has to not only start recording on the next clip in the other track, but hit the previous clip play button again. When you hit a clip play a second time it stops recording and starts looping that clip based on the quantization setting. seems like that's the part yo...

I'm going to try and be a bit more descriptive of what's happening now that I have time: What I've done is I've made a few midi tracks and they control an instrument on a separate track (Just one instrument until I can figure out the technique I'm working on)... What I'd like to be able to do is hav...
