Re: Convert to midi drums / Midi Velocities
You have to help Live with the transient detection.. After, your results will come out 10x better... All of the 'convert' functions seem to rely heavily on those transient markers (not just warp markers, although they help also). You gotta zoom in a little and make sure they are in their place becau...

Re: What's Your Workflow using Maschine and Ableton
Whenever I drag and drop, Live doesn't warp correctly and I have to go back and fix it. Is there a way to avoid this? Yes, Turn loop optimize on (file/export audio/options). When it is off Maschine leaves the tail. Damn bro, I think you just changed my life..... I can´t believe that was it. Great w...

Re: Complex Pro in Simpler
I think it has something to do with your pc's configuration... My PC is almost 8 years old (self built), my audio unit has been discontinued for about 2 years and Focusrite isn't making any more drivers for it (a cheap $250 Safire pro 24 dsp), It's running with ADAT active to another cheap Tascam au...

Re: What's Your Workflow using Maschine and Ableton
I was thinking about picking up Maschine, but after reading this thread I changed my mind. :( Hmmm... I love live, most of the people here prefer Live... it's the live forum. Maschine is incredible for getting down ideas quickly, and honestly... a lot of people that record at my place prefer to use...

Re: What's Your Workflow using Maschine and Ableton
Now that we have 16 'Levels' in Drum Racks layouts, If they give us 16 Semitones (Keyboard Mode) (or even better if they do it with scales) it will be 'Game Over'! Vote for it.

Re: force drum rack layout on push
If you really want to get crazy with it... Once all your instruments are tuned properly... Leave them at the full key range, instead go to the chain selector tab... Extend all instruments to the full range, and do the 'distribute equally' thing... Right click in the numbers area of the chain selecto...

Re: force drum rack layout on push
Another thing you can do to speed things up with the key ranges (cause I'm guessing you want different sounds on different pads) If you want to speed up setting the different keyboards to different pads you can control/cmd select all the instruments... drag the bar over to where you want the first n...

Re: force drum rack layout on push
It should look like this... Drum rack then a bunch of instruments... Still shows as drum rack on push. I also show two of the instruments with key ranges... also added a blend where I had the key range overlap... thats the little bar on top of the bigger bars... https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/8...

Re: force drum rack layout on push
Also in the chain selector, you can set your key range's... I see you have multiple keyboard instruments loaded... you use the key ranges to separate them out by notes if you don't want them to all overlap.

Re: force drum rack layout on push
I'm not even sure what you just said...... Polimetr-what??? Anyway... what I normaly do if I want to use the drum rack sequencer with a keyboard sound is.... Creat an empty drum rack... right click, group it... click the chain selector button to expose the chains... Then drop any instrument in a cha...

Re: What's Your Workflow using Maschine and Ableton
It is shameful that NI haven't corrected their routing structure. Maschine is not a DAW, so they know that eventually most people will need to connect to a proper DAW. Maschine is great for getting the Idea down quickly, especially when some pads have 'keyboard' pitch playing... But it sucks when tr...
