M-tron for sure. but if you got reason, i highly recommend checking out the abbey road refill as it has the m400 samples in it which provides some pretty juicy flutes, cello's and strings.

I was told 2 months ago by support that they would be making a major upgrade to 6(as in alot more than bug fixes). i dunno what happened with that....

I own the axiom 25 and i would recommend picking up the novation on the basis that the engima software that comes witht he axiom is a pure pain!

One thing that bothers me about the GUI's of softsynths, is that has so much potential to be something more than the hardware counterparts that they try to emulate. In addition, midi controllers should try extent the keyboards, knobs and sliders and get really creative and forget about whats familiar...

Yeah, my main synth(moog opus 3) doesnt have presets so it ultimately works out as advantage, as it makes you learn the synth...

Although, I gotta admit that since i downloaded this demo when it was released, i do have the urge to buy it.... dunno, cant really explain. maybe for peace of mind....

I owned an sp-12 turbo for awhile. Incredible machine. Just really simple and inspiring. and i loved how it just "legitimized" every sound put in it. But to work with 5 seconds of sample time in this day and age is abit ridiculous. And i didnt want to keep worrying about such a pricey prod...

DP5 has been my main DAW for awhile now. Its a no frills software with no limitations whatsoever and can do anything you want it to do due to its flexible customization. You can even turn the GUI into a pro tools clone if you want to... But the main reason i stick with DP, is because of the Polar lo...

I havent tried the padkontrol, but i own an mpd24 and guru and its like they were made to go together. Just flick over to the preset and there you go. In addition, When i use Guru within a daw, i set it to midi channel 11 and it controls whatever engines in view. Although, one thing thats frustratin...

I bought a second Moog opus 3 for dirt cheap off ebay. It usually gets alot of flac for its limitations(obviously in comparison to its brothers), but to programme it is pure joy. And its diverse enough to create some serious solina-like strings to squelchy ultra analog bass's. Simple, full polyphony...

Any else find it rather hilarious and ironic that the app is actually titled "enigma"??

Enigma - "mystery: something that baffles understanding and cannot be explained"

^^Thanks, im only gonna be buying in a week or so, but ill give you a shout if im having trouble. Ive been checking out the manual in the meantime and seems that its less than half the headache that the axiom controller+enigma software accounts for.

Digital Performer 5 comes with 'Polar', which is the best looper ive used - hardware or software! You press up+shift+p and then this looping workstation appears before your eyes! Its actually intended for studio use as guitarists, bassists, vocalists or any musician can quickly record 20 takes non-s...

The only thing that an MPC is beneficial for these days is the workflow. I bought Guru, Live 6 and an MPD24 and now i have an MPC workstation on steroids(and much mroe ofcourse). and this is for less than an MPC1000, which has terrible pads(apparently) and when i need that MPC "sound", i c...
