btw, I think I heard CONGHI AND CONGLO is the main default of the redrum kits in Reason....

btw the new controllers will be awesome, they'll come in three flavors, faders crossfader transport type buch of buttons type bunch of rotary knobs type and side by side won't be much wider than you'll laptop downside is they will be pure midi only, no usb but they will be colorful and german built ...

It's standard practice to make the academic versions _NOT_ be upgradable. Meaning you get the software at a discount, but then when new versions come out there's no way for you to upgrade the software. Other than that, they should be identical to the original product.
