Does it make sense that Live is already at 8% CPU power with only one track of audio recorded...no effects...no MIDI nothing. Things seem to have changed quite a bit since upgrading to OS X 10.3.6. The limiting factor is the speed of your hard drive. Get an external FireWire drive or upgrade your internal to a 5400 or even better, 7200 RPM model. And one more thing...

Even tho the CPU load meter is reading b/w 28% - 42%, the audio dropouts will still occur and the Hard Disk Overload indicator will turn on. And then the audio comes back after a 2nd or two.

Using a brand new PB, latest OS, with 712 MB Ram.
