the t-racks3 single plugins also crashed my smoothly running live 8 (on winxp). It was not possible to find any pattern, when and why they crashed it. The group track is more of a tool to tidy up the workspace than a full fledged bus, at least that's how i see it. However you can still create a "real" bus track and route the group track and any other track to it.
