Re: [5143] Dragging multiple clips into arrangement b8.13
Just to make sure: it seems that when you grab the clips in session view, move the mouse a little, and then hit Tab to switch to arranger, you get all the clips; it's just when you click on the clips, don't move the mouse , hit Tab to switch to arranger, and then start moving the mouse, you get only...

Re:
When you click on a menu and there happens to be a menuitem under your mouse, it gets selected. I don't get it. When a context menu comes up, it is not under your mouse, but next to it. Can you describe what exactly you are doing so that there happens to be a menu item under your mouse? The mouse b...

This is by design. We only show the stripes for clips that have the same length and identical warp markers, in which case you can edit their warp markers all at once (useful for multi-track arranger recordings, for instance). The color of the stripes shows you which of the clips is the master clip, ...

Yes, we do have automatic thinning of recorded automation (and for a long time, at least since Live 3). It usually does a pretty good job too, removing just the breakpoints that are really redundant. However, for a few parameters, like the Frequency of an AutoFilter, it doesn't work well: in these c...

Stefan, Are you saying that playing sets off a USB stick is a strategy to seriously investigate for gigs? Because if it is, I will. Probably only if you have drop-out problems when streaming off your hard drive. For this, a USB stick may be better because it has virtually no seek time; for everythi...

that's REALLY annoying. how come am i not able to play 19 audio tracks at the same time? even 15 won't do. That's probably your hard drive being too slow for this, quite simply. The seek time of the hard drive is the limiting factor here, and notebook hard drives are not very good in that respect. ...

Stefan, is there a way to combine those two behaviour. As I wrote earlier in this thread, when working for theater or dance rehearsals, the new behaviour can be very useful. We would love to provide an option in the Preferences dialog for this, but there's no room left in the dialog, so we would ha...

Sorry for not responding earlier. We discussed the matter again, and we realize that most of you actually want a retrigger behaviour when starting the song, so we are going to change it back. We are sorry for the inconvenience. (It's funny though that nobody ever seems to have noticed the bug in the...

Sorry for the delay, I'm just back from vacation. What you are describing is not a bug; we consider the previous behaviour to be broken, and fixed it in 5.0.3, in our opinion. The details may be a bit hard to follow, but I'll try to explain what's going on: When you stopped and restarted a song (whi...

Re: stay the course
I understand how vocal people were in opposition to the L5 Scrub/Clip Position issue, but please STAY THE COURSE in the 5.02 release!!! Please bring back the original L5 scrubbing procedure!!!! I'm afraid I don't understand what the problem is. You can still scrub and nudge in the same way as in 5....

I think for this situation we need a modifier so that you can have the option between having the start position affect the play position (like LIVE 4) and having it NOT affect it (like the first release of LIVE 5). You can set the start marker by alt-clicking (option-clicking) in the clip detail vi...
