No, that's not a bug. Remember that the orange dot indicates the position that the start marker would be set to if you were to press "Keep" now. Normally that position is within a range of half a bar to either side of where the start marker is now. However, if the start marker is inside th...

Sorry for the long delay in answering this. We don't consider this to be a bug. When a clip stops, the current clip envelope values stay at their values until the next clip starts. It doesn't matter whether the clip stops because you stop it (or it stops itself because it's a one-shot), or because y...

Can you please look if you have a crash log in <HOME>/Library/Logs/CrashReporter/Live.crash.log. If not, p...

Hi all, it's been a long time, but we were still doing research on the 5-second cutout problem. Now it appears we have some news: on Christian's machine, the cutouts have stopped since he upgraded to QuickTime 6.5 (which installs the CoreAudio version that ships with 10.3, even on 10.2). The Apple f...

Thanks for the detailed report; the bug is fixed for the upcoming 3.0.1 maintenance release.

We need your help

It's frustrating. The bug that Roddi was talking about, which the Apple folks helped us track down, is a serious bug and we fixed it; but it seems that it wasn't the one that was responsible for the 5 second drop-out. Here at Ableton we only have one machine where the problem occurs; it's Christian'...

For me, Live starts up as fast under Panther as it does under Jaguar. Does it make any difference if you trash your preferences? They are at "<Home>/Library/Preferences/Ableton/Live 3.0/Preferences.cfg". You may want to rename them instead of deleting them. Also, can you please mail me the...

I just fixed a serious bug that was probably responsible for this. It will be in the next maintenance update, which is due out Real Soon Now. (It fixes a bunch of other serious bugs too.)

Sorry for the inconvenience.

if youre saying the files that you made on os x show up as offline in os 9, that is not surprising at all. the 2 os's reference paths differently, No, this is not the problem. Live doesn't store path names; it references files in a platform-independent way, so you should even be able to switch betw...

i posted this on the bugs forum but nobody bothers to answer: In general, bug reports (and particularly crash reports) should go to support@ableton.com, not to the forum. That way they are much more likely to be dealt with. live crashes with fault 10 1. when rendering a song longer than say 100 bar...

I created the TiBook usergroup, moderated by Geraldo, as requested. Anyone who is interested can join. BTW, sending private messages to the Admin user is not a very good idea; we use that user only for occasional forum maintenance, we don't read his messages regularly. Please send mail to support@ab...

Please turn on crash logging (in the preferences of /Applications/Utilities/Console.app) and send us a crash log if it happens again. Thanks.

What does that mean, "it won't"? Does it crash? Do you get an error message? What happens?

If this would work, I would have suggested it. Unfortunately it doesn't.
