i can't do one large live-set as we're changing setlist quite a lot.

not sure if that was the reason, i turned off the yellow 'ovr' midi button and saved the file -
now opening and closing without modification doesn't make the save option pop up.

no midi hooked up and only one impulse opened. when fiddling today, i also realized that this behavior only happens with certain live-sets, not all of them.

i tried to compare what's similar and what's different, but couldn't [yet?] establish a pattern...

i'm on pc. i did ask an ableton guru friend that turn me towards using ableton and who is way more knowledgeable than i am - he has the same behavior, he is also on pc.

the suggestion with the master is actually a good one. if you do not want to touch the master per se, sonalksis is offering a free great plugin called the 'freeG' that you could insert on your master.

thank you for the hint with the unregistered demo version. maybe i need to rehearse with one version of ableton when we do modify the set and perform with another version when on stage. kinda awkward, not practical at all, but if it takes that to work... i do not have any other piece of software tha...

latency has to do with your soundcard and the drivers for your soundcard.
